Proposed Greenway Design

This design shows a proposed greenway in a blighted area in Pittsburgh, PA. The design addresses habitat and green space connectivity by proposing a link between two major natural areas in the city. The properties proposed to be converted into a greenway are vacant and blighted lots that are already taken over by invasive species and other native plants. The design proposes to keep native species in the greenway to support biodiversity and vital habitat, yet clean up the appearance of the space to promote the feeling of safety and beauty while educating the community about the importance of natural spaces and, more specifically, ecological connectivity and health.

Final Product created through the use of AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, and SketchUp.
